TUI BLUE Barut Andız (Adults Only 16+)

Finding a genuinely adults-only hotel in Side is not as easy as you might think. TUI BLUE Barut Andız fills that gap: according to TUI's hotel page, it takes guests aged 16 and over and runs on an all-inclusive basis.

It is in the Side neighbourhood, a short trip from the ruins, the harbour and the streets where you might head out for dinner. That location is a tangible reason to stay. TUI and the hotel's directions page put Antalya Airport at about 62 to 64 km, a journey of roughly 60 to 73 minutes.

Let us be clear about the beach. The hotel is not beachfront. The official site mentions a private beach, and TUI and booking-site details place this sandy beach about 150 to 200 metres away, across the road. In practice, you grab your towel and take a short walk down to the sand.

Our assessment: this hotel makes sense for couples and groups of friends who want a child-free setting combined with Side's historic character. Pool and beach by day, a wander through the ancient city in the evening, and no long journeys in between.

There are downsides. A beach across the road is a drawback if you like stepping straight from your room into the sea. And the concept is all-inclusive rather than ultra, a detail worth noting if that distinction matters to you.

Who is it not for? Families with children, obviously, and anyone who insists on a beachfront hotel.

Nearby, Side Golden Rock is another all-inclusive hotel for guests aged 16 and over, also in the Side neighbourhood. The group's Acanthus Cennet Barut is beachfront and ultra all-inclusive, but it welcomes families as well.

Side's summer is long. Late May, June and September are lovely for an adults-only break, with good swimming and comfortable sightseeing. In July and August, make the walk to the beach in the cool of the morning.
