Payam Hotel (Adults & Children 7+)

For anyone who wants to stay inside Kaş, close to the town's streets, Payam Hotel is an option. It is on Yeni Cami Caddesi in the Andifli district, within walking distance of restaurants and the harbour.

There are two important rules. First, according to the official site, the hotel accepts children only if they are aged 7 or over, so families with babies or young children should look elsewhere. Second, there is no beach of its own; the nearest swimming platform is about 50 metres away.

The board is bed and breakfast. This is where staying in central Kaş pays off: with so many dinner options around, bed and breakfast stops feeling like a drawback.

How do we see Payam? It is a sensible base for couples, or families with older children, who like living in town, walking to the sea in the morning and wandering Kaş's streets at night. Being central also makes the Meis ferry and Kekova boat trips easy to reach.

What should you weigh up? A central location can bring the sound of town on summer evenings. Swimming from a platform is not as easy as from a beach. Do not expect a full resort; this place is part of the town.

It does not suit families with children under 7, or anyone who wants a holiday without leaving the hotel.

From Dalaman, the drive takes about 2 hours.

Kaş gets busy in summer but stays lively in spring and autumn too. May and October are comfortable for staying in the centre and walking during the day. July and August bring lovely sea conditions, though the streets are tiring in the midday heat.
