Likya Gardens Hotel

Likya Gardens Hotel sits just above the shore in Kalkan and connects to the sea through its own beach club. According to the official site, Likya Beach Club is on the shore below the hotel. So the building is not beachfront, but you are not relying on another business to reach the water.

Unlike some boutique hotels in Kalkan, Likya Gardens accepts children. That matters for families, because some hotels in town are adults-only or have age limits. As with the other hotels in the area, the board is bed and breakfast.

Sources put Dalaman Airport between 123 and 135 km away, with a drive of about 1 hour 45 minutes to 1 hour 53 minutes. Flying into Antalya is possible, but the journey is far longer.

Strengths, in our view:

• The hotel's own beach club keeps sea access in its hands.
• It is a Kalkan hotel that welcomes children and families.
• The Dalaman transfer is confirmed and relatively short.

Weaknesses, in our view:

• Bed and breakfast means eating dinner away from the hotel.
• Getting down to the beach club and back can be tiring on Kalkan's slopes.

Who is it not for? Couples looking for a fully child-free setting, and anyone expecting all-inclusive.

Nearby, Likya Bay Hotel is adults-only outside July and August and relies on an arranged beach club. Kalkan Beach & Hotel is right on the seafront with its own Blue Flag beach and pier.

In Kalkan the swimming season usually starts in May and runs into October. Midsummer can be hot for families with children, while June and September are better balanced for both sea and shade. Patara beach is an easy day trip, and a nice change for children who want sand.
