Kamelya Aishen Club

Some hotels accept families; Kamelya Aishen Club is built around them. Even its booking-site name spells it out: "Aishen Club & Aqua Ultra All Inclusive Kids Concept". The board is ultra all-inclusive, and children are the focus.

The hotel is in Çolaklı, west of Side, and is part of Kamelya Collection. It uses Kamelya's sandy beach of around 500 metres, which sources place about 50 to 100 metres from the hotel. So it is not beachfront, but the sand is not far either.

In our view, a clear identity is an advantage here. Parents looking for an aquapark, kids' clubs and a child-friendly atmosphere do not need to wonder whether the hotel suits families; the answer is in the name.

That same clarity becomes a drawback for some guests. A kids-concept hotel will naturally be busy and noisy through the day, and couples after a quiet break may feel out of place.

Sources put Antalya Airport at about 55 km, though some quote 47 to 48 km. Either way, it is a longer transfer than to Lara or Belek.

Who is it not for? Couples without children, anyone seeking peace and quiet, and guests who want to walk into Side's old town. From Çolaklı, the ancient city is a drive away.

For comparison, the group's Kamelya Selin, already on our site, is also in Çolaklı but runs on a standard all-inclusive basis and is a calmer, mid-sized hotel. TUI MAGIC LIFE Jacaranda, also on the Çolaklı side, is all-inclusive with a family club concept.

Unsurprisingly, the busiest period for a kids-concept hotel is the school holidays in July and August. The midday sun is strong then, so hats, shade and regular water breaks are essential. In early June the sea has warmed up and the resort is usually less crowded.
