Kalkan Beach & Hotel

It may appear as "Kalkan Beach Park" on booking sites, but the hotel's official name is Kalkan Beach & Hotel. Opened in 2022, this small hotel has 28 to 30 rooms according to sources, so it is a beach hotel on an intimate scale rather than a busy resort.

What sets it apart in Kalkan is the beach. According to the official site, the hotel is beachfront with its own Blue Flag sand-and-gravel beach and pier. While swimming in Kalkan often means entering the sea from rocky platforms, here you can walk in gradually. That fits the hotel's family-friendly profile.

The board is bed and breakfast, and Kalkan's restaurants cover dinner.

From where we stand, its biggest plus is a combination families with small children rarely find in Kalkan: a beachfront location, a gradual way into the sea and a policy that welcomes families. The low room count may also help keep the beach from feeling crowded.

On the downside, with so few rooms it can be hard to get a booking in summer. There is no all-inclusive board, which limits guests who want to stay in all day and eat every meal on site. A sand-and-gravel mix may disappoint anyone hoping for fine sand.

Who will it not suit? Guests looking for the activities and clubs of a big resort, or anyone wanting an adults-only setting.

Patara Prince Hotel is also beachfront, but you reach the sea by ladder from a rocky platform. Likya Gardens Hotel accepts children, but its sea access is through a beach club on the shore below.

For families, June and September are ideal: the sea has warmed up and the midday heat is easier to handle. In July and August, plan beach time around the shade.
