Getting from Antalya Airport to your hotel
By Semih Daban ·
Antalya Airport serves a long stretch of coast. Your hotel could be fifteen minutes away or well over two hours, depending on which resort you've picked. Knowing the options before you land saves a lot of standing around in the arrivals hall.
One thing you won't find here is prices. Fares change often, and a figure that was right last season can easily mislead you. Check current fares and timetables with each operator before you travel.
Your options at a glance
| Option | Good for | Goes to resorts? |
|---|---|---|
| Pre-booked transfer | Families, late arrivals, any resort | Yes, door to door |
| Taxi | Short hops to Lara or the city | Yes, agree the fare first on longer trips |
| AntRay tram | City centre, Kaleiçi, bus station | No |
| Municipal bus | City centre and bus station | No |
| Havaş shuttle | City centre | No |
| Bus station + minibus | Tight budgets, light luggage | Yes, with a change |
Pre-booked transfers
For most resort stays this is the simplest choice: someone meets you outside and drops you at the hotel door. If you're on a package holiday, your tour operator has probably arranged it already; the airport's official site says operators have welcome desks outside the terminal. Some hotels can also arrange a transfer for an extra charge.
Taxis
Taxis wait right outside arrivals. They make sense for short trips such as Lara or the city. For longer journeys, agree on a rough fare with the driver before setting off.
AntRay tram and city buses
According to the airport, the AntRay tram links the airport with the city centre and Antalya's main bus station (otogar). Municipal buses also run to the bus station and the centre. Public transport is paid with an Antalyakart, and the Antalyakart app shows lines and times. None of these reach the resort areas.
Havaş
Havaş runs a shuttle between Antalya Airport and the city centre. There's no direct Havaş service from this airport to Lara, Belek, Side, Kemer or Alanya.
Bus station and minibus
If budget comes first, you can head to the bus station and pick up a regional minibus. The airport's guidance says minibuses for Aspendos, Side, Manavgat and Alanya leave from the bus station, while Kemer minibuses go from a separate stop on the west side of the city. Expect a longer trip and a change with your bags.
Area by area
The distances below come from the fact sheets of hotels on our site and are approximate. Journey times shift with traffic, time of day and season.
Lara
Lara is one of the closest beach areas to the airport. Delphin Imperial, Concorde De Luxe and Titanic Deluxe Lara are each around 10 km away, so a taxi or transfer is quick.
Konyaaltı
Konyaaltı is on the far side of the city. Rixos Downtown Antalya lists about 18 km and 20–25 minutes, and Megasaray Westbeach about 25 km. Crossing town at rush hour can add time. Light travellers can also use the tram and buses.
Belek
Belek hotels are mostly 25–40 km out. Kempinski The Dome quotes about 25 km and 25–30 minutes, while Robinson Club Nobilis is around 40 km and roughly 45 minutes. Public transport isn't practical here, so a transfer or taxi is easiest.
Side
Side is roughly 55–65 km from the airport: about 55 km to Kamelya Selin, 60 km to Barut Hemera and 65 km to Side Star Elegance. Plan on around an hour by car, sometimes more on busy changeover days.
Kemer
The road to Kemer runs between the mountains and the sea. NG Phaselis Bay gives about 52 km and 50–60 minutes, Akra Kemer about 55 km, and Rixos Premium Tekirova around 73 km and an hour and a quarter. Areas south of Kemer town, such as Tekirova and Kiriş, take longer.
Alanya
For Alanya, the first question is which airport. From Antalya Airport, hotels are 100–140 km away: Granada Luxury Red lists about 100 km, Labranda Alantur about 140 km. That's a long transfer.
If a flight into Gazipaşa-Alanya Airport works for you, the drive shrinks: about 38 km to Labranda Alantur and only 4–5 km to Porto Amore in Gazipaşa. Gazipaşa-Alanya Airport's official site lists a Havaş service to Alanya as well.
Landing late?
- Book your transfer in advance so you're not negotiating at midnight.
- Night buses are limited; check the app before relying on them.
- Tell your hotel your arrival time so reception expects you.
Travelling with children
Ask for a child seat when you book a transfer rather than hoping one turns up. For longer drives towards Side, Kemer or Alanya, keep water and snacks to hand. If a short ride is your top priority, look at Lara or the Kadriye side of Belek.
